A plaque beside these steps commemorates Provincetown as the first landing spot for the Pilgrims in the New World.

If you're thinking of taking in Plymouth, UK on your trip, then a visit to ---- will whet your appetite. It tells of Plymouth past and present with a section devoted to the Mayflower and the Pilgrim Fathers. There's also a great photo tour of the historic seafront taking in the Elizabethan Barbican and Hoe and a panoramic sketch map of the entire seafront, looking city-wards.
